Dave’s Biography

Dave DumeyerOne of Triad’s senior consultants is Dave Dumeyer, owner of Dave Dumeyer Consulting, LLC, a firm specializing in educational policy, local government and political organizations. He can claim some specialization in all areas as a result of his varied careers. Dave toiled in the vineyards of public education where he taught foreign languages and social studies. He later was called to the state legislature where he worked on legislation in the areas of agricultural and educational public policy. His government experience encompasses 21 years as a House of Representatives’ staff member including seven as executive director of the Education Committee. During his tenure, he helped to draft several pieces of legislation to become law, one of the most prominent being Act 48, mandating the continuing education of Commonwealth-certified teachers.

Dumeyer also brings local government experience to the table, having served as an elected township supervisor in West Hempfield Township for since 1989, the last eight of those as chairman of the board. In addition to serving the township residents, Dave sat as a regional representative to the Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau, Pennsylvania’s premier tax commission.

Dave’s value to Triad comes from his numerous contacts in state and local government and politics, his ability to research and analyze problems to find a solution, and his ability to broker difficult situations into successful results. The last of these skills was developed around his local GOP political activities in PA’s most Republican County, Lancaster, where he served over six years as the county chairman. Throughout his chairmanship, he had an unblemished record of leading the Lancaster County GOP to victorious campaigns for county, state and federal candidates.

Dave has been involved in the Rotary, 4-H, Scouting, his local church congregation, and the Lancaster County educational community. He previously taught US History and the History of Western Civilization on an adjunct basis at Lancaster’s campus of the Harrisburg Area Community College.

Dave received his AB in German (education) from Susquehanna University and his MA in American history from Millersville University. He counts an associate’s degree in business administration from HACC- Lancaster among his accomplishments.

Dave lives with Donna, his wife of 43 years, in Landisville, PA. They are the parents of two married daughters and 6 rambunctious grandkids. His roots, however, are western Pennsylvania, especially his passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.
